4.5. Flow Cytometry Assessment of Annexin V Binding

Flow cytometry assessment was performed using the Annexin V binding Apoptosis Detection Kit II (BD Biosciences, San Diego, CA, USA) to examine the induction of apoptosis in DLD-1 and HT-29 colorectal adenocarcinoma cell lines. The procedure of detection was done in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. The assay was performed as described in the literature. The tested compounds were added in 1.5 and 3 µM concentrations. The experiment was done at flow cytometer (BD FACSCanto II, Becton Dickinson Biosciences Systems, San Jose, CA, USA). Then, the obtained results were investigated with FACSDiva software (version 6.1.3, BD Biosciences Systems, San Jose, CA, USA) [51].
