Briefly, approximately 1 × 107 HepG2 cells were collected and suspended in 0.1 ml PBS, and injected subcutaneously into the beneath flank of BALB/c nude mice. The subcutaneous tumors were allowed to grow up and tumor volumes were measured with caliper. When the maximum diameter of tumor was reached approximately 5 mm, mice were treated with 15 mg/kg Endostar or rES-CSP in the vicinity of the tumor once a day for four weeks. Equal volume of saline was injected in the control mice. The longer (L) and the width (W) of the tumor were measured every 6 days in period. The tumor volume was calculated via the formula V = (LW2)/2. Mice were sacrificed on the third day after the last administration. Tumors were excised, weighed and photoed.
