Patients with incomplete data, those who could not communicate, those with gastrointestinal disorders, and those with previous surgery under general anesthesia were excluded from this study. The Apfel score was used to conduct a PONV risk assessment. Anesthesiologists oversaw the complete procedure from anesthetic induction to recovery. PONV that developed within 12 h of extraction was determined from the medical record description by nurses and doctors.
