Immunohistochemistry and Toluidine Blue Staining

Rat primary articular chondrocytes were fixed in ice-cold acetone for 15 min and permeabilized with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS for 15 min. Immunohistochemistry and toluidine blue staining were performed as previously described.14 Cells were washed and imaged using an inverted fluorescence microscope (Olympus).
