Three pieces of film strips (4 cm x 2 cm) from each formulation were cut evenly, and the tensile strength and percentage elongation at break were evaluated using a tensiometer. The tensiometer consists of two load cell grips, a lower fixed one and an upper movable one. A film strip was fixed between these cell grips, and the force was gradually applied until the film broke.23 The tensile strength and percentage elongation at break were read directly from the dial reading.
