The computation of the spatio-temporal gait parameters was conducted based on the work of Perry et al. (2010) [50] in accordance with the equations described by Frenken et al. (2012) [51]. The respective parameters are are summarized in Figure 2 and Table 1. With steps and stance/swing phases being calculated for each foot, additional parameters such as gait speed, cadence and step length were calculated accordingly.

The measured spatio-temporal gait parameters were then summarized by the aTUG system within a test-specific pdf (Latex) document, from where they were extracted for evaluation purposes.
