Genomic DNA was isolated from EDTA-anticoagulated whole blood using the salting out method [45]. SNPs rs705379 and rs662 were genotyped in all of the samples using (1) PCR amplification and restriction digest or (2) by template-directed dye-terminator incorporation with fluorescence polarization (TDI-FP), as previously described [32,35]. The detailed methods are explained in the Supplementary Methods.
