Twenty-four male immunodeficient mice (5 weeks of age) were reared in specific-pathogen-free grade environment. Cells overexpressing miR-133a (2 × 107) were injected into the tail vein of nude mice. After 45 d, mice were euthanized by overdose pentobarbital sodium. Liver and lung tissues were surgically removed and fixed in formalin for further analysis.
