The different somatic parameters evaluated were determined as in Riera-Heredia et al. [22] using the following formulas: Initial body weight (IBW); final body weight (FBW); weight gain (WG) [(FBW − IBW/IBW) × 100]; somatic growth rate (SGR) [((ln FBW − ln IBW/time) × 100] where time was 53 days; body length (BL); condition factor (CF) [FBW/BL3 × 100]. Although 12 fish were sampled per condition (four fish per tank), this data is presented using the number of tanks as replicates (n = 3) for proper determination of the bulk response.
