WT, Tg21 mice of both sexes at postnatal ages P7, P11, P21, and P60, and GAD65-cre-positive, EPORfx/fx, and GAD65-cre-negative, EPORfx/fx mice at postnatal age P11, were deeply anesthetized with an intraperitoneal injection of sodium pentobarbital (50 mg/kg) followed by decapitation and dissection of brain tissue on ice. Hemispheres where then frozen on dry ice and stored at −80°C until use. Serial brain sections of 10 μm were cut using a cryostat (Leica Biosystems), mounted on Superfrost slides and stored at −80°C.
