Drug Entrapment Efficiency Percentage

The drug entrapment efficiency percentage (EE%) was measured by an indirect method. Briefly, the NP dispersion was centrifuged (Heraeus Megafuge 1.0 R; Hanau, Germany) at 10,000 rpm for 15 min. The amount of free NFX in the supernatant was measured spectrophotometrically at a predetermined λmax of 281 nm (Shimadzu UV 1650 UV-VIS spectrophotometer; Kyoto, Japan). EE% was determined using equation (1)
