Cold sensitivity was quantified by acetone spray test (evaporation-evoked cooling). Rats were placed on a wire mesh floor, and one drop of acetone was applied to the plantar surface of the hind paw using a propylene tube attached to the syringe (5 times at 5 min intervals). Paw withdrawal frequency was reported as percentage (the number of paw withdrawal/number of trials× 100) [22].
