MISA4 was used to identify SSRs in each species with the minimum numbers of repeats set to 8, 5, 3, 3, 3, and 3 for mono-, di-, tri-, tetra-, penta-, and hexanucleotides, respectively (Thiel et al., 2003). The long repetitive sequences containing forward, palindromic, reverse, and complementary repeats were analyzed using the software REPuter5 with a 30 bp minimum repeat size and a Hamming distance of 3 (Kurtz et al., 2001).
