The insulin sensitivity test measures glucose clearance after insulin is delivered using IP injection. Mice were fasted for approximately 5 h, and fasted blood glucose levels were determined before a solution of insulin (diluted in saline) was administered by IP injection. Subsequently, the blood glucose level was measured at different time points during the following 2 h (0, 20, 30 60, 90, and 120 min after the injection). Mice were injected with 0.5 U/ml insulin solution based on the body weight (0.5 U/kg).
