Fermentation broth of 10 mL was filtered and all filtrates were collected. The crude polysaccharide was precipitated with the addition of four volumes of 95% ethanol for 12 h. The precipitated polysaccharide was collected by centrifugation at 2683×g for 10 min. After that precipitates were redissolved in 10 mL distilled water with 3% peroxide for 3 h at 60 °C to remove pigments. Total polysaccharide in the culture medium was determined by Spark 10 M ELIASA (Tecan, Männedorf, Switzerland) according to phenol–sulphuric acid assay (Cuesta et al. 2003).
