The physical diameter of the nanoparticles was measured using a JEOL 1010 (JEOL, Peabody, MA, USA) transmission electron microscope. The diameters of 100 particles were measured, and the average diameter of this sample was calculated. The hydrodynamic diameter of the nanoparticles was measured using a Malvern Instruments Zetasizer (Malvern Instruments, Malvern, Worchestershire, United Kingdom). The silver concentration was determined using inductively-coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) with a Spectro Genesis (Spectro, Kleve, Germany).
