ATPlite-based cell proliferation assay

Cells were seeded in triplicate in 96-well plates (2 × 103 per well). Cell proliferation was evaluated by the ATPlite assay, according to the manufacturer’s instructions (PerkinElmer, Waltham, MA, USA). Results are expressed as the fold change compared with the control. To calculate IC50 values, cells were cultured for 3 days with the indicated concentrations of doxorubicin and then subjected to the ATPlite assay.
