2.3. Determination of total phenolics content

The content of total phenolic was determined using the Folin-Ciocalteu method as described in the previous report [23]. The anthocyanin-rich extracts (0.125–0.250 mg) were dissolved in distilled water (1 mL). The solution (50 μL) was mixed with 50 μL Folin-Ciocalteu reagent (1:10). After 5 min of incubation at room temperature, 10% (w/v) Na₂CO₃ (50 μL) was added and then incubated for 30 min at room temperature. The absorbance was measured at 760 nm. Gallic acid (0–80 μg/mL) was used as a standard.
