The case definition of TB includes all forms, including pulmonary and extrapulmonary TB, which are bacteriologically confirmed or clinically diagnosed [3, 10]. The GBD category of TB is defined and identified according to the International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-9 codes 010–19.9, 137–137.9, 138.0–138.9, 320.4, and 730.4–730.6, and the ICD-10 codes A10–19.9, B90–90.9, K67.3, K93.0, M49.0, and P37.0 [3, 12, 13]. For TB-HIV, the ICD-10 code is B20.0 [3, 10].
