Statistical analyses were carried out using Graph-Pad PRISM, V.8 (GraphPad, San Diego, CA, USA). Normally distributed data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance with Tukey’s post hoc analyses to determine between-group differences. In the case of non-Gaussian-distributed parameters, we used the Kruskal-Wallis test with Dunn’s multiple comparison test. In the case of contingency analyses, a χ2 test was used. Receiver-operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was employed to evaluate the diagnostic value of CSF parameters. ROC curve comparisons were performed using MedCalc, V.12.7.0 (MedCalc Software, Ostend, Belgium).
