2.11. Cell Cycle Analysis

2.5 × 10⁵ cells were seeded in 6-well cavities. If applicable, after 16 h, the indicated treatments were applied in serum-free medium. Cells were harvested and permeabilised with 70% ice cold ethanol. After staining with 50 µg/mL propidium iodide (Sigma; Taufkirchen, Germany) and 100 µg/mL RNAse A (AppliChem; Darmstadt, Germany) in PBS for 30 min, the distribution of the cells in the different cell cycle phases was detected with a BD^TMLSR II flow cytometer and FACSDiva^TM software (both BD Biosciences; Heidelberg, Germany).
