The protocol was approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Jiangsu University, Zhenjiang, China. PANC1 and SW1990 cells (2.0 × 106 cells/site) stably transfected with shEGFP, shMeCP2, vector, and Flag-MeCP2 were subcutaneously injected into 5-week-old BALB/c nude mice (Shanghai SLAC Laboratory Animal Co., Ltd, Shanghai, China) to generate xenografts. Five female mice were randomly distributed to each group. There is no blinding. The tumors were collected from the fourth week. The tumor volume was measured every week after injection and calculated using the following formula: length × (width2)/2.
