In NCI-N87 cell line, p53 protein expression was down-regulated using p53-siRNA, as described earlier [22]. Briefly, cells were treated for 24 h with 150 nM of p53 siRNA, followed by CDDP and/or AKBA treatment for another 24 h. Cells were then harvested for further analysis.
