Broadband dielectric spectroscopy (BDS) was performed using a Solartron 1260 impedance-analyzer (AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology, England). Ambient temperature dielectric spectra are acquired under an alternative voltage of 1Vpeak-peak amplitude at a frequency range of 10−1–106 Hz.
The dielectric strength of the selected materials was determined by applying a DC voltage linear ramp at a slew rate of 500 V/s. For each polymeric film, 10 to 16 breakdown events were recorded to show the probability distribution of electrical failures.
