GBM cells were seeded on six-well plates at a density of 2×105 cells/well and allowed to adhere overnight under normoxia. Then, cells were incubated in the BINDER hypoxic incubator (Germany) in 1% or 5% O2, with 5% CO2 in a humidified atmosphere at 37 °C. Confirmation of hypoxic conditions was conducted using Western blotting to detect expression of HIF-1α.
