The standard method reported in ASTM C1760 was used to evaluate the bulk electrical resistivity of concrete with and without corrosion inhibitor. The water-saturated concrete sample (100 mm diameter and 100 mm height) was positioned between the test cells used for accelerated chloride migration test containing 3 wt.% NaCl solution and an electrical potential of 60 V DC was applied across the specimen. The bulk electrical resistivity was calculated using the following equation:
where ρ is the electrical resistivity in kΩ·cm, V is the applied voltage (60 V), I is the current in A, d is the specimen diameter (100 mm), and L is the specimen length (100 mm).
