In vivo lung tumor xenograft model

Six-week-old female athymic (nu/nu) mice were purchased from the animal center of Kunming Medical University. A549 cells (1 × 10⁷ cells) stably transfected with the control vector or miR-34c were constructed in our laboratory. The mice were divided into four groups using the random number method. After 3 weeks, all seven animals in each group had tumors of >5 mm in diameter, and either paclitaxel or cisplatin was intraperitoneally injected once a week for 6 weeks after the tumor volume reached 1500 mm³.
