Methylation status of the O-6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) gene promoter was determined by extracting tumor genomic DNA from FFPE sections for bisulfite conversion using the EZ DNA methylation-Gold Kit (Zymo Research, Orange County, CA, USA). MGMT methylation-specific PCR was performed using primer pairs specific to methylated and unmethylated MGMT promoter sequences (Table (Table33).
