2.8. Statistical A nalysis

Graphpad Prism, version 8.1.2 software (La Jolla, CA, USA) was used for all statistical analyses. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare liver profile factors among the treatment groups, followed by Holm-Sidak’s multiple comparison post hoc tests, when appropriate. Student’s t-tests were used to evaluate between-group differences in immunopositive cell counts, EtOH intake, and cognitive function indices (i.e., NORT parameters). A p-value of less than 0.05 denoted a statistically significant difference. Bar graphs shown in the figures illustrate group means ± SEM.
