Amino acid sequences of GlpO from M. capricolum subsp. capripneumoniae ILRI181 and F38T [15], 1601 [17], 9231-Abomsa [18], M. mycoides subsp. mycoides Afadé, B237 [19] PG1 [20], T1/44 [21] and Gladysdale [22], M. leachii PG50T [22], M. capricolum subsp. capricolum ATCC27343T (GenBank accession NC_007633) and M. feriruminatoris G5847T [23, 24] (used as an outgroup) were retrieved from GenBank. Multiple alignments were generated using MUSCLE [25], curated from unreliable sites with Gblocks [26] and the phylogenetic tree was constructed by the Maximum Likelihood method using PhyML [27].
