The cells were cultured in serum‐free medium for 24 hours and then cultured in medium with 10% FBS for 24 hours. The indicated cancer cells were collected and fixed with precooling 75% ethanol at 4°C. The following day, the 75% ethanol was removed, and the cells were incubated in propidium iodide solution (100 μg/mL) at room temperature for 20 minutes in the dark. The cell cycle experiment was analyzed by flow cytometry (BD Biosciences, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA).
