DCFH-DA assay was conducted to detect ROS levels. Cells were cultivated at 6×104 per well in 24-well plates. Subsequently, cells were stained with 20 µM of DCFH-DA (Sigma-Aldrich; Merck KGaA) in the dark for 1 h. Then fluorescence intensity was detected by fluorescence spectrophotometry with an excitation and emission wavelength of 485 and 530 nm.
