The percentages of cells undergoing apoptosis were measured by Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) apoptosis detection kit (Beyotime). A549/DDP cells were plated in six-well plates (3.0 × 105 per well) and treated as indicated. Subsequently, the cells were collected, washed once with PBS, incubated with Annexin V and propidium iodide (PI) following the manufacturer’s protocol, and analyzed by a flow cytometer (BD Biosciences, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA).
