The acute inflammatory process was induced using a 1% carrageenan solution (dissolved in normal saline solution). Each rat was injected with 0.1 mL carrageenan solution in the left hind rat paw (sub plantar region). The groups are described in Table 1. Diclofenac sodium and NSO dosage were established according to the previously reported results [23].
