Lung tumor tissue from RP and RPMYCN mouse models was collected shortly following euthanasia using a sterile syringe and needle. Tissue was dissociated by pipetting and then cultured in DMEM complete medium (Dulbecco's modified Eagle medium containing 15% fetal bovine serum, 1% penicillin–streptomycin, 1% sodium pyruvate, β-mercaptoethanol, and recombinant insulin) containing 1 µg/mL doxycycline after which growth of stable lines was observed. Human SCLC cell lines H510, H69, and H209 were obtained from ATCC (Phelps et al. 1996).
