MDA-MB-231 cells were maintained in Dulbecco's-modified Eagle's medium (DMEM) with 10% fetal bovine serum, 1% penicillin/streptomycin and L-glutamine at 37°C with 5% CO2. 7.5 × 105 cells were seeded on 10 cm plates in 10 ml complete DMEM for culture maintenance.
