HL-60 and THP-1 cells were seeded at 5 × 104 cells/well in a 24-well plate. The cells were incubated in triplicates with different concentrations of methoxy stilbenes or RSV (1–200 μM) in a final volume of 100 µL of growth medium for 24 and 48 h at 37 °C with 5% CO2. An aliquot of 10 µL of MTT solution (5 mg/mL) was added to each well and incubated for another 4 h. The water-insoluble formazan crystals were solubilized in DMSO before the measurement of absorbance using a microplate reader (TECAN Infinite M200) at 570 nm (with the reference wavelength at 690 nm). All the experiments were repeated three times, with at least three measurements per assay.
