The evaluation of the model was based on goodness-of-fit plots, that is, observations versus individual and populations predictions (OBS-PRED), individual weighted residuals versus individual predictions and time (IWRES), plots of normalised prediction distribution error (NPDE) versus population predictions and time [16], and prediction-corrected visual predictive checks (pcVPC) which were performed with 1000 simulated data sets [17]. pcVPC showed the time course of the 10th, 50th, and 90th percentiles with a 90% level of confidence around the simulated profiles and compared with observed data.
