DPSC were seeded at 105 cells/200 µl into polyester Transwell inserts with 1 µm pore size in 24-well plates (Merck, Millipore, UK). DPSC were seeded on top of the membrane in complete growth medium with 10% FBS. After 24 h, the culture medium was replaced with serum-free α-MEM, and inserts were placed over the lower chamber containing the neuronal cell cultures.
