The Porsolt forced-swim test is an assay that is widely used in rodents to assess depression-like behavior [53]. The apparatus for the Porsolt forced-swim test consisted of four Plexiglas cylinders (20cmheight × 10cmdiameter). The cylinders were filled with water (23°C) up to a height of 7.5 cm according to a previous study [53]. The mice were placed into the cylinders, and their behavior was recorded over a 6 min test period. Immobility time was evaluated using the ANY-MAZE software.
