Glutathione (GSH) and oxidised glutathione (GSSG) levels were assessed in liver according to a modified protocol of the Hissan and Hilf method with use of the ο-pthalaldehyde (OPA) fluorescent reagent [51]. Protein concentration was determined using a Braford assay. Fluorescence was measured at 355 nm/460 nm and GSH and GSSG expressed as nmole/mg protein.
