Hot plate assay was used to test the pain recognition in mice as previously described (24). The mice were placed on a 55°C hot plate (Columbus Instruments). The latency to hindlimb response (jumping, shaking, or licking) was manually recorded. Data are shown as mean ± standard error of mean and analyzed by one-way ANOVA with Bonferroni’s post hoc analysis.
