Subjects must meet the western medicine diagnostic criteria for bronchial asthma (Table (Table1)1) with mild acute exacerbation (Table (Table22)[28] and the TCM syndrome diagnostic criteria of lung and kidney yang deficiency syndrome (Table (Table33).[29] The syndrome differentiation will be determined by 2 designated deputy physicians of TCM independently.
