TM 3030 desktop scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to observe the microscopic morphology of the gel in a low vacuum mode. The gel with swelling equilibrium under different conditions was quickly frozen with liquid nitrogen to better retain the gel morphology. Then the gel was dried by a freeze dryer. Before observation, 80 s of gold spray treatment is needed to improve the conductivity of the sample.
