2.9. Assessment of Cell Viability with a CCK-8 Assay

Cell viability assays were performed by using Cell Counting Kit-8 (Sigma) in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Cells were seeded in 96-well plates at a density of 5 × 104/ml. After treatment, the viable cells were counted by absorbance measurements at a wavelength of 450 nm at the indicated time points. The optical density value was reported as the percentage of cell viability in relation to the control group.
