TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β levels on monocytes were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) on 24-h monocyte cell culture supernatants according to manufacturer’s instructions (R&D Systems). For IL-10, supernatants from human cell cultures were collected and cytokine detection was performed using the ELISA MAX™ Standard Set (BioLegend), according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
