Up to 1×106 MDA-MB-231 cells per well were plated in 6-well plates. Cells were incubated overnight, and 3 parallel wounds per well with the same interval were created using a pipette tip. Images were captured at 0, 12 and 24 h after wounding. The distance migrated by the cells to close the wounded area during the time was measured using ImageJ software. The results are expressed as the wound-healed rate (%), that is, the distance migrated by cells at certain time divided by the wound distance at 0 h. Experiments were performed in duplicate and repeated at 3 times.
