Tumor cells were seeded into 6-well plates (2.5 × 105 cells per well) and cultured (72 h) in the absence or presence of gefitinib at their specific IC50 (see Table 1). Apoptosis was assessed by cytofluorimetric analysis using FITC-Annexin V Apoptosis Detection Kit (Dojindo Laboratories) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
