A human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line hHepG2 (ATCC HB 8065, Manassas, VA, USA) and a mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line NIH3T3 were cultured in Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS; Life Technologies Inc. Gibco-BRL Division, Grand Island, NY, USA), 100 μg/mL streptomycin, and 100 U/mL penicillin at 37 °C in a humidified atmosphere with 5% CO2. They served as positive controls.
