Brains were collected for cell dissociation using a Neural Tissue Dissociation Kit (Miltenyi Biotec., Bergisch Gladbach, Germany), and microglial cells were then enriched using a magnetic-bead-coupled antibody (anti-CD11b, Miltenyi Biotec, dilution 1:10) extraction technique (MACS™) (Miltenyi Biotec.) according to the manufacturer’s protocol using all recommended reagents and equipment [44].
